Graphic Design and Branding
Our graphic designers help you determine which design elements best convey your message. This service is helpful to new and established businesses that are developing their brands or re-branding. ONYX can also trace and vectorize most images to prepare them for cutting on our wide format cutters. Please verify that you have permission to reproduce the images to avoid violating copyright laws. When in doubt, we can utilize our royalty-free images in your design. More information about artwork submission is located at the bottom of this page.
Color Matching
Color is critical to visual communication! Our RIP software will automate color-matching of brand or spot colors to the nearest CMYK values for output using eco-solvent inks (8-color process). We can identify any color using our Pantone Capsure device. Our Creative Director can also help you determine the color that best reflects your brand or that best conveys your message.
Installation
ONYX is a one-stop for visual communication production, from design to installation. We install graphics at our location or yours. In some cases, we may be able to install your graphics while you relax in the comfort of our lounge.

Artwork and File Submission
Caution: Backup or duplicate all files before sending them to us. ONYX shall not be responsible for lost or corrupted files.
By sending your artwork to us, you are agreeing that you have permission to use the artwork for your personal or commercial purposes. Most licensors (Disney, NFL, NCAA, etc.) require us to have a copy of your licensing agreement on file before we accept your job order.
ONYX reserves the right to reject job orders that do not conform to its artwork and file submission requirements.
Low-resolution images:
Low-resolution images do not print well. Rescaling a low-resolution image only changes the density of its pixels, not the number of pixels in the image. Rescaling typically diminishes the clarity and quality of images, rather than enhancing them.
For best results, save, scan, or optimize your image to a resolution of 300 ppi (pixels per inch) or dpi (dots per inch). You can produce high-quality images with a digital camera. Alternatively, you can purchase high-resolution stock images online or allow us to do that for you.
Die-cutting:
Artwork to be die-cut must be submitted as vector files such as Adobe illustrator (Ai), CorelDraw (CDR), or Scalable Vector Graphic (SVG).
We can also vectorize JPEG images (vectorization fee applies).
Printing:
Artwork or images to be printed must be: 1) built and saved in CMYK color mode and 2) exported as PDFs with all brand/spot colors, images, and fonts flattened.
